- Employee Donor-Advised Fund - Casual for a Cause
Every Friday, our team trades business attire for jeans — and turns comfort into community impact.
Launched in 2010, our Employee Donor-Advised Fund brings employees together to support the causes they care about most. Each year, our team votes on local charities and scholarship programs to receive funding. Through voluntary payroll deductions and creative fundraisers, these dollars go directly back into our communities.
Over the years, this tradition has helped provide thousands of dollars in scholarships for local students and supported countless nonprofits across the region. A small change in dress makes a big difference in the lives of others.

2025 Recipients of our Employee Donor Advised Fund
One of the things that makes Bank of the Flint Hills special is the generosity of our team. Through the Employee Donor-Advised Fund, our employees give straight from their own paychecks to support causes close to home. Then, together, they decide which organizations will receive those dollars each year.

Big Brothers Big Sisters Serving Riley County – Matches youth with caring mentors to build brighter futures.

Boys & Girls Club of North Central Riley County – Provides a safe, fun place for kids to learn, grow, and succeed after school.

Graduating Senior Scholarships – Each year, we award scholarships to graduating seniors in all six of the communities we serve, helping students take their next step toward college, technical school, or another path to success.

Kansas Honor Flight – Honors Kansas veterans with all-expense-paid trips to visit their memorials in Washington, D.C.

Korbin’s Clubs – Supports Wamego-area youth in the lifelong, humbling sport of golf. In honor of Korbin Tinkel’s love and passion for the game, this program helps carry forward his legacy.

No Stone Unturned – Offers therapy and support services for children with developmental needs and their families.

Wabaunsee County Fair Association – Strengthens community spirit through youth development, agriculture, and local traditions.
