What are the benefits of having an online BFH account?
Once you sign up, you can access your account information like auto loan balance, payment amount, payment due date, payment history, interest information and much more.
If my current payment book has been lost or damaged, how can I order a new one?
If your payment book is lost or damaged, you can order a new one by calling 785-456-2221 and ask one of our customer service representatives for assistance.
Will I receive monthly statements for my auto loan? Can I see these online?
You will not get statements for your auto loan. Please note you can access your account information online at bfh.bank
How is interest calculated on my auto loan?
Your interest is called "daily interest accrual." It's calculated by multiplying the outstanding principal balance of your loan each day by the daily interest rate (the annual rate divided by the number of days in the year.)
On a loan that uses daily interest accrual, the date you make your payment impacts the amount of interest paid over the life of the loan, and the amount of the final payment. If you pay more than the amount due each month, you will reduce the amount of interest you pay over the life of the loan because you're reducing your principal loan balance, and the interest is being calculated on this lower balance.
How do I get a payoff amount for my auto loan? Then how do I pay off my loan?
You can get payoff information or begin the process of paying off your loan by contacting us at 785-456-2221. You can request the information from one of our customer service representatives
Your loan payoff details are also available in your online account when you log in to your account at bfh.bank.
Once I pay off my loan in full, how long will it take to receive documentation that the loan has been closed?
Once your loan is paid off, our system updates overnight and generates a "paid off" letter that will be sent to you by U.S. mail the next business day.
I overpaid my loan! When will I get a refund?
If your loan is paid off and your account shows a credit, we'll send you a refund check by U.S. mail within 10 business days after the payoff date. (Remember to allow time for the mail.)
What if I pay my loan off early?
If you pay off your loan early, you may be entitled to a full or partial refund of amounts you paid for any of the following products and services if you still have coverage remaining under their terms:
- Guaranteed Asset Protection ("GAP") coverage, credit life insurance policy, or similar products.
- Optional service and/or maintenance contracts for your vehicle, if you have transferred the vehicle or experienced a total loss on the vehicle.
We encourage you to review documents you retained about those products and services, and contact the seller (most often, the dealer who sold you the vehicle) to determine whether you are entitled to a refund.
